Prices cover manuscripts up to 80,000 words. Longer books, illustrated children's books, and heavily formatted nonfiction are quoted after the review. Packages begin only after the review and a signed Service Agreement. Each package is paid in two halves through Stripe: the first when the agreement is signed, the second before final files are released and the book is published.

Agreement
A short written Service Agreement with the scope, the schedule, the price, and the approval deadlines. Nothing starts until it is signed and the first payment is in.
Edit
Boutique manuscripts are edited in tracked changes. You accept or reject every change. Foundation manuscripts receive a proofread of the final layout.
Cover and interior
You receive cover concepts and interior proofs by email. You have seven days to respond to each round.
Approval
You sign off on the final cover and interior in writing. After approval, changes are billed at an hourly rate.
Release
We set up your listings on Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and Draft2Digital in your own accounts, order a print proof, and, once you approve it, the book goes live on Amazon and through Ingram, orderable by any bookstore or library. The files are yours.
What we are
A boutique press: one editor, one designer, one point of contact, and a small number of books each year. We are paid for the work of making a book, not a percentage of what it earns. Memoir, nonfiction, novels, poetry, picture books, and gift books have all come through the press.
What we are not
Not a vanity press and not a big house. We do not buy your rights and we do not promise bestseller lists. We are best at memoir, business nonfiction, poetry, and gift books, take on other genres only when the review says the pages are ready, and say so honestly when they are not. Two books are in production at a time; the next open slot is November 2026. If we love a book, we may offer to carry it under the Cricket Hollow imprint and help market it. That is a separate written agreement, explained in the FAQ.
